Virtuoso guitarist best known for his work with thrash metal band Testament, Alex Skolnick is equally accomplished as a jazz musician. After leaving Testament in 1992, he earned a BFA in Jazz from The New School in New York, studying with renowned instructors, and formed the critically acclaimed Alex Skolnick Trio in the early 2000s, which blends metal and jazz influences.
