Brooklyn-born trumpeter and composer Adam O'Farrill (b. 1994) has established himself as one of the most in-demand contemporary jazz musicians, recognized as a "rising star as a player and composer" by PopMatters and "a blazing young trumpet talent" by The New York Times. Heir to a distinguished musical legacy—his grandfather was legendary Cuban composer Chico O'Farrill and his father is pianist/bandleader Arturo O'Farrill—O'Farrill leads the quartet Stranger Days and has collaborated with artists including Mary Halvorson, Vijay Iyer, and Rudresh Mahanthappa.
