Ablaye Cissoko

Ablaye Cissoko is a Senegalese kora master, vocalist, and composer born in 1970 in Kolda, descended from the acclaimed Cissoko griot family. Rooted in ancient Mandinka traditions, he composes new material and is known for collaborating with musicians across world music, jazz, and classical scenes, with notable partnerships including German trumpeter Volker Goetze and the Constantinople ensemble.
